Cancellation Policy

For all cancellations please contact our reservations department at (866) 651-1869. In the event you happen to reach our voicemail, please leave a message with your name, phone number, order number, and the reason for your call so our team can contact you as soon as possible. Standard business hours are from 8:00AM-6:00PM CST, unless otherwise stated, and all calls are returned by the end of the day. If you do not receive a return call, return voicemail, or email confirming the cancellation please assume your voicemail was not received. Please also send an email of a cancellation request to reservations@ldvbeach.com.

Beach Service

If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, LDV requires all cancellations to occur no later than 5:00PM CST the day before the requested cancellation date to receive a refund, less fees. If you have received our weekly special (purchased five consecutive days of service and received the sixth day free) and one day is canceled, there are no refunds as that will be considered the free day. Please note that the weekly special is not offered at all locations or at all times of the year. No same day refunds will be granted for red tide, seaweed, pests, loud music, smoking, or any unforeseen issues out of LDV's control. Equipment color is subject to location and availability.

  • Off-Season (November-February): If your order requires a consecutive two or three day minimum rental, there are no refunds for canceling after one or two days of service. You are responsible for paying for the required number of minimum days.
  • Backpack Beach Service: If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, LDV requires all cancellations to occur no later than 5:00PM CST the day before the delivery date to receive a refund, less fees. We do not offer same day cancellations with refunds, weather related refunds, or refunds once delivered. As this rental will be at the responsibility of the lessee to bring to and from the beach, and to set up and breakdown each day, the lessee will be at the responsibility of monitoring the weather and determining safe wind conditions for the umbrella. LDV is not responsible for any missing, stolen, lost, or broken backpack beach service equipment, that is the responsibility of the lessee. The replacement fee per item is $150+tax/fees. There is not a guaranteed time of delivery on your scheduled delivery date, for our team has until 8:00PM CST to make all scheduled deliveries. Our team begins to pick up rentals as early as 4:00AM CST, so make sure the items are readily available. If the gate/garage code is not provided in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in delivery. Unless otherwise stated, the delivery and pick up dates are scheduled one day prior and one day after the reflected dates on the receipt.
Hours & Breakdown
  • Our hours of operation for beach service during season (March-October) are from 9:00AM-5:00PM CST, unless otherwise stated at a specific location. Our hours of operation for beach service during our off-season (November-February) are from 9:00AM-4:00PM CST, unless otherwise stated at a specific location. During turtle nest season, beach service cannot begin to be set up until the beach has been cleared by Turtle Watch. Due to such, it is possible that rentals will be set out after 9:00AM CST and there are no refunds if the delay in service is caused by Turtle Watch.
  • At most locations, in-season (March-October) beach service breakdown will begin between 3:30PM-4:00PM CST. Unoccupied equipment at this time may be taken down for the day with no guarantee of being set back up. If you are planning to return between 3:30PM-5:00PM CST, please communicate to the beach attendant on site. During the off-season (November-February,) beach service breakdown will begin between 3:00PM-3:30PM CST. Unoccupied sets at this time may be taken down for the day with no guarantee of being set back up. If you are planning to return between 3:00PM-4:00PM CST, please communicate to our reservations department at (866) 651-1869 or reservations@ldvbeach.com.
Weather & Umbrella Policies
  • LDV reserves the right to delay beach service setup and/or breakdown early due to inclement weather.
  • LDV does not provide weather-related refunds. If weather conditions are a concern, it is the customer's responsibility to cancel before the reservation start date. This policy also applies to impending tropical storms or hurricanes, as there are no automatic refunds for services unavailable due to these events.
  • If the tide rises or recedes and you wish to have the umbrella moved, please do not attempt to move the umbrella yourself. Please see the attendant(s) on site, if available, or contact LDV to receive assistance. There is no guarantee that the umbrella can be moved for the remainder of the day.
  • LDV reserves the right to close and/or remove umbrellas if weather or wind conditions are unfavorable for safety reasons. There is no compensation if umbrellas are unavailable. If you are at a location where there is not an attendant on site (i.e. private beachfront home, public access, etc.,) please close the umbrellas with inclement weather or when done with the service for the day to avoid potential bodily harm to yourself or others, or loss of or damage to equipment.
Single Item Orders
  • At most locations, single item orders (anything less than a full beach set or full big set (i.e. one chair or two umbrellas only)) do not receive our structured seating placement options of premium or plus seating, and are not set up in advance. To be set up, the customer must check-in with the beach attendant(s) to receive further assistance.
Placement Requests
  • LDV will do its best to honor all spot placement requests to the best of our ability, however, we cannot make a guarantee. LDV will guarantee that you will have a position in the purchased structured seating section (if applicable,) but cannot guarantee a specific location (i.e. on an end, in the middle, etc.) If a structured seating placement option is offered at your location (premium, plus, or standard,) this information relates to the row of beach service. If re-location is being requested, the beach attendant(s) will do their best to work with you, but there is no guarantee.
  • Some locations are first-come-first-available for spot placement, meaning that LDV cannot accept or guarantee any spot placement requests. At these locations advanced beach service reservations do not receive spot placement priority; the attendant(s) will have your reservation, but you must check-in with the attendant(s) each day to be set up (unless otherwise stated by the attendant(s) on the first day of service.) Although typical beach service hours begin at 9:00AM CST, depending on when the attendant(s) finish setting up they might be able to start assisting before then (no guarantee) and the line at the attendant's station will begin to form early.
Bonfires

If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, all cancellations must take place no later than 2:00PM CST on the scheduled date of the bonfire to receive a refund, less the booking fee. No refunds will be granted after 2:00PM CST, including due to weather or red tide conditions. In the event strong weather conditions arise and call for unsafe bonfire conditions, Walton County/South Walton Fire Department or Bay County/Bay County Fire Department may suspend bonfires for that evening. If this occurs, the booking fee remains non-refundable. If you will be late to your bonfire, meaning that you will not show up at your scheduled start time, you must inform LDV so our attendants can plan accordingly and no additional time will be added. If an hour has passed since the scheduled start time and you have not contacted our team, the attendant will attempt to reach out to you via the provided phone number listed on the reservation and if contact cannot be made, they will begin to break down the bonfire. If we are not informed in advance and our attendant cannot reach you during your allotted time, no refunds will be offered for an early breakdown.

  • Walton County: In addition to the non-refundable booking fee, all refunds will also be less the permit fee. In the event strong weather conditions arise and call for unsafe bonfire conditions, Walton County/South Walton Fire Department may suspend bonfires for that evening. If this occurs, the bonfire permit fee remains non-refundable, unless otherwise stated by Walton County/South Walton Fire Department. If you purchased a special event permit, they are non-refundable and non-transferable per Walton County. Special event permits are required if there will be 30+ attendees, artificial lighting, catering, etc. If there will be 100+ attendees, security is also required to be hired. For more information on special event permits and what falls under the requirements of having one, please contact Walton County. If a special event permit is not obtained for an event that requires it, LDV reserves the right to cancel the bonfire without refund. As this requirement is per Walton County ordinance, when Code Enforcement arrives at the event to confirm permitting and the special event permit is not available, they will administer citations to LDV and the guest, as well as terminate the event.
Weather Rescheduling
  • You must make the decision to cancel or look into rescheduling the bonfire by 2:00PM CST on the scheduled day of the event.
  • There will be no refunds for bonfires that can not be set up, for any reason, after the 2:00PM CST deadline. Our team will monitor the weather, but it is the guest's responsibility to make their decision by 2:00PM CST. This includes, but is not limited to, high tide or erosion lines which limit the amount of beach to be within code.
  • Reschedules are subject to availability with no guarantee. If you are hosting an event in Walton County and would like to reschedule, there will be a re-permitting fee as these permits are only valid for the assigned day they are purchased for. Special event permits are non-transferable, so a new special event permit will need to be purchased.
Bicycles

If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, LDV requires all cancellations to occur no later than 5:00PM CST the day before the requested cancellation date to receive a refund, less fees. We do not offer same day cancellations with refunds or weather related refunds. All cancellations, if applicable, will be charged the minimum two day rental plus any further applicable rental days. If you will need to switch the bicycle for a different size there is a $25+tax/fees service fee. This service fee is also applicable at our hut locations when the size requested is not available on property. Equipment color and brand are subject to availability. LDV is not responsible for any missing, stolen, or lost bicycles/accessories, that is the responsibility of the lessee. Any missing locks will result in a $15+tax/fees fee, so please ensure these are with the item before the scheduled pick up/return time. There is not a guaranteed time of delivery on your scheduled delivery date, for our team has until 8:00PM CST to make all scheduled deliveries. Our team begins to pick up rentals as early as 4:00AM CST, so make sure the items are readily available. If the gate/garage code is not provided in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in delivery. If the waiver(s) are not completed or not completed correctly in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in the lock code(s) being provided. Unless otherwise stated, the delivery and pick up dates are scheduled one day prior and one day after the reflected dates on the receipt.

  • Attachments: LDV's attachments can only be attached to LDV's bicycles
  • LDV Bicycle Rules: LDV requires that our bicycles be ridden only during daylight hours and not used from sunset to sunrise.
  • Helmets: Florida law requires that any minor under the age of sixteen (16) years old wear a helmet while operating a bicycle. Helmets are available for rental upon request. Once delivered, helmets are non-refundable.
  • Replacement Fees: If your bicycle(s) are stolen or missing for the purpose of being abandoned, illegally parked, or for other reasons, the lessee is responsible for a minimum of $45-$350+tax per bicycle replacement fee that is required by La Dolce Vita to replace and return the bicycle(s) back to the lessee.
Golf Carts & Low Speed Vehicles (LSV)

If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, LDV requires all cancellations to occur no later than 5:00PM CST the day before the requested cancellation date to receive a refund, less fees. We do not offer same day cancellations with refunds or weather related refunds. All cancellations, if applicable, will be charged the minimum two day rental plus any further applicable rental days and delivery fee. If an electric vehicle is rented, LDV is not responsible for any missing, stolen, lost, or damaged charging cables/cords, that is the responsibility of the lessee (fees explained in the rental agreement.) If the gate/garage code is not provided in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in delivery. If the rental agreement(s) are not completed or not completed correctly in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in the lock code(s) being provided. There is not a guaranteed time of delivery on the scheduled delivery date, for our team has until 8:00PM CST to complete all scheduled deliveries. Our team begins to pick up rentals as early as 4:00AM CST, so make sure the items are readily available and the key(s) returned back to the lockbox. Unless otherwise stated, the delivery and pick up dates are scheduled one day prior and one day after the reflected dates on the receipt.

  • A golf cart and a low speed vehicle (LSV) are essentially the same and have the same body type, but golf carts are not street legal and LSVs are.
Citations
  • Some communities have very strict low speed vehicle/golf cart policies, so please make sure to follow their guidelines and only park in designated parking areas; illegal parking is a common issue. If you receive a parking citation, driving violation, or the vehicle is towed that is charged to LDV during your rental period, the lessee will be responsible for the cost of said citation/towing fee per the legal rental agreement that will be completed prior to the rental/receiving the lockbox code. Sometimes these citations are cited post violation, therefore, if the ticket is provided to LDV after the vehicle was moved and you are unaware of the citation, the lessee will still be responsible for the cost. LDV will do its best to contact the lessee within a timely manner (90 days) to resolve the citation and payment is required at the time of the call. LDV is not responsible for any tickets, citations, or traffic violations received.
Rules & Information
  • You must be twenty-five (25) years old or older to rent and/or drive. Vehicle insurance information and a driver's license are required for all drivers.
  • Although street legal (unless you are renting at Camping on the Gulf,) the vehicle cannot be driven on roads that have a speed limit over 35-MPH and it is illegal to drive on the sidewalk. You are permitted to cross Highway 98 through fixed intersections with traffic lights, as long as the crossing street is within the 35-MPH zone.
  • During the rental period, if the vehicle needs to be picked up by our team and re-delivered to the rental property, the lessee will be responsible for paying a $75 re-delivery fee (plus applicable taxes/fees.) This could include, but not be limited to, picking up the vehicle after being towed or wrecked (in addition to any towing fees,) not charging a vehicle properly, receiving a traffic violation for driving on a non-low speed vehicle approved road where the vehicle must be left, or any situation due to the customer negligence.
  • On the scheduled day of pick up, please make sure the keys are in the lockbox that is physically attached to the vehicle or the lessee will be charged for a missing key ($20+tax/fees/key.)
    • Four Passenger: The lockbox is attached to the underbelly of the first-row seat
    • Six Passenger: The lockbox is attached to the underbelly of the second-row seat
    • Eight Passenger: The lockbox is attached to the underbelly of the third-row seat
  • There cannot be more passengers than the size of the vehicle. For example, if you have a six-passenger vehicle it can only have a maximum of six passengers. Children cannot sit in the lap of an adult; they must have their own seat and car seats are permitted (a car seat counts as a seat/passenger.) So, if you have a six-passenger vehicle, you can have one car seat and five other passengers. Children five and younger are required to ride in a car seat or booster, but children six and older must sit in their own seat with a seat belt (booster seat is recommended, but not required.) Seat belts are required to be worn at all times by all passengers while in operation.
  • Our vehicles have a slight lift to them, so they are not hugging the ground.
Location Restrictions
Please note that this is only a small section of prohibited locations that have been brought to the attention of LDV. Some locations are contracted through other vendors, therefore, are prohibited locations under LDV. For more information on your specific location, please search your specific rental property address on our website or contact your rental property manager for confirmation.

Any missing locks or accessories will result in a $25+tax/fees fee, so please ensure these are with the item before the scheduled pick up/return time. There is not a guaranteed time of delivery on your scheduled delivery date, for our team has until 8:00PM CST to make all scheduled deliveries. Our team begins to pick up rentals as early as 4:00AM CST, so make sure the items are readily available. If the gate/garage code is not provided in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in delivery. If the waiver(s) are not completed or not completed correctly in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in the lock code(s) being provided. Unless otherwise stated, the delivery and pick up dates are scheduled one day prior and one day after the reflected dates on the receipt.

  • La Dolce Vita is not knowledgeable of what locations, hotels, or beach accesses are handicap accessible. This is the responsibility of the lessee to determine prior to placing a reservation. There are no refunds if a location is not handicap accessible; our standard cancellation policy remains.
  • All of LDV's mobility items are manual/push and cannot be self-maneuvered; electric rentals are not available.
  • The weight limit on a beach wheelchair is 350-lbs and the weight limit on a standard wheelchair is 300-lbs.
Water Sports
Pontoon Boats
  • If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, LDV requires a 48-hour cancellation notice from the day of service to receive a refund, less fees. If an order is canceled within the 48-hour period, the order will be charged a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the order (which includes the booking fee.) If waterway and/or weather conditions are determined to be unsafe for operation by the rental agency prior to the departure, the reservation will be canceled and a refund will be issued, less fees. After departing/leaving the dock, all sales are final and no refunds will be granted. No rentals, under any condition, are permitted in the Destin Harbor, East Pass, or Gulf of Mexico. Double decker pontoons are limited to stay in the no-wake zone/Crab Island area. If these restricted areas are entered, your rental will be terminated immediately with no refunds. All pontoons must stay floating at all times to prevent damages; beaching the pontoon is prohibited. If renting from the Baytowne Marina in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, a fuel charge is due to be paid at the end of the rental. These fuel charges are non-refundable.
  • Waivers: The vessel will not leave the dock until all waivers have been completed and verified with the attendants. There will be no compensation or reimbursement for any rental time lost. Please have all waivers completed prior to the scheduled departure and arrive 20-30 minutes early to check-in. The waivers do not need to be printed out, as they are electronically sent to us once completed. On the waiver, the driver/operator must use their full name as it appears on their driver's license.
  • Capacity: By law, no more than twelve (12) participants are permitted per boat, including children and pets. There is an additional fee to be paid at check-in per pet. This applies to standard and double decker pontoons.
  • Requirements: To operate a standard pontoon boat, you must be twenty-one (21) years old or older. To operate a double decker pontoon boat, you must be twenty-five (25) years old or older. The driver/operator must have their driver's license (state license) in their possession for the duration of the rental. All passengers are required to bring a valid government issued photo ID (any form of ID, it is not limited to a state ID) for waiver confirmation (minors exempt.) If the driver/operator is born on or after 01 January 1988, they are required to take/pass a boating safety course. Here is a link for a temporary boater's license: https://www.boat-Ed.com/floridarental/. This must be completed prior to arrival and if the operator already has a boating license, please bring it. We require to hold a major credit card on file for damages, so please bring it at check-in. Glass, grills, fishing (on double deckers,) and towing are prohibited. Children riding on a pontoon boat ages six (6) years old and under are required to wear a Coast Guard approved PFD (personal flotation device) at all times while the vessel is underway (moving/engine running.) Life jackets may be removed once the vessel is anchored, but we strongly recommend life jackets remain on due to the strong currents around Crab Island.
Jet Skis & Waverunners
  • If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, LDV requires a 48-hour cancellation notice from the day of service to receive a refund, less fees. If an order is canceled within the 48-hour period, the order will be charged a non-refundable deposit of 20% of the order (which includes the booking fee.) If waterway and/or weather conditions are determined to be unsafe for operation by the rental agency prior to the departure, the reservation will be canceled and a refund will be issued, less fees. After departing/leaving the dock, all sales are final and no refunds will be granted. All beach transactions are final sale. No rentals, under any condition, are permitted in the Destin Harbor, East Pass, or Gulf of Mexico if renting from one of our marina locations. All beachside rentals must abide by the restricted zones discussed at the time of rental. If these restricted areas are entered, your rental will be terminated immediately with no refunds.
  • Waivers: The vessel will not leave the dock/beach until all waivers have been completed and verified with the attendants. There will be no compensation or reimbursement for any rental time lost. On the waiver, the driver/operator must use their full name as it appears on their driver's license.
  • Capacity: Our jet skis/waverunners will hold a maximum of two (2) people (one driver and one passenger) or a maximum of 400-lbs.
  • Requirements: To operate a jet ski/waverunner, you must be eighteen (18) years old or older. The driver/operator must have their driver's license (state license) in their possession for the duration of the rental. All passengers are required to bring a valid government issued photo ID (any form of ID, it is not limited to a state ID) for waiver confirmation (minors exempt.) If the driver/operator is born on or after 01 January 1988, they are required to take/pass a boating safety course. Life jackets are required to be worn at all times by all passengers. All participants must be at least six (6) years old to ride on a jet ski/waverunner. All passengers have to sit behind the driver/operator; absolutely nobody can sit between the driver/operator and the wheel.
Kayaks & Paddle Boards
  • If for any reason you should need to cancel your reservation, LDV requires all cancellations to occur no later than 5:00PM CST the day before the requested cancellation date to receive a refund, less fees. We do not offer same day cancellations with refunds, weather/water related refunds, or refunds once delivered. All beach transactions are final sale. LDV is not responsible for any missing, stolen, or lost items/accessories, that is the responsibility of the lessee; no replacements will be granted. Any missing locks will result in a $15+tax/fees fee and any missing accessories will result in a $25+tax/fees fee, so please ensure these are with the item before the scheduled pick up time. Life jackets are required to be on the vessel at all times by all passengers. All participants must be at least six (6) years old to ride on a kayak or paddle board. There is not a guaranteed time of delivery on your scheduled delivery date, for our team has until 8:00PM CST to make all scheduled deliveries. Our team begins to pick up rentals as early as 4:00AM CST, so make sure the items are readily available. If the gate/garage code is not provided in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in delivery. If the waiver(s) are not completed or not completed correctly in advance, there are no refunds for a delay in the lock code(s) being provided. For walk-up rentals, an adult must be present with a minor to complete the required waiver. Unless otherwise stated, the delivery and pick up dates are scheduled one day prior and one day after the reflected dates on the receipt.
Waterpark & Banana Boat
  • All transactions are final sale. If waterway and/or weather conditions are determined to be unsafe for operation by the rental agency prior to the departure, the reservation will be canceled and a refund will be issued, less fees. After departure, no refunds will be granted. Life jackets are required to be on the vessel or at the waterpark at all times by all passengers. All participants must be at least six (6) years old to ride on the banana boat or use the waterpark. On the banana boat, no more than six participants are permitted per trip. Waivers are required to be completed for all participants for either activity; an adult must be present with a minor.
